Our role
Room Dekho is an online listing platform that connects property owners with people looking to rent. We are not a real-estate agent or broker, and we are not a party to any rental agreement between users. We do not collect rent or deposits.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
Listing rules
- Only list properties you own or are authorised to rent out.
- Photos, rent, deposit and details must be accurate and current.
- Do not post duplicate, misleading or discriminatory listings.
- Remove the listing once the property is no longer available.
- Brokers must clearly say so in the description if they charge a fee.
Prohibited use
You may not use the platform for fraud, spam, scraping, harassment, collecting other users' data, or anything unlawful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules without notice.
Safety & payments
Always visit a property and verify the owner before paying. Any payment you make is between you and the other party. Room Dekho is not responsible for losses arising from transactions between users.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. You give us a non-exclusive licence to display, resize and promote that content on Room Dekho and in search engines while the listing is live.
Limitation of liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the accuracy of listings posted by users.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
