For tenants
Is Room Dekho free for tenants?
Yes. Searching, saving listings and contacting owners is completely free. We never charge tenants a brokerage or service fee.
How do I find a room or PG near me?
Tap "Near Me" on the home page or any listing page and allow location access. You will see rentals within about 15 km, sorted by distance. You can also switch to the map view.
Can I filter by budget, food or gender?
Yes. Filter by monthly budget, property type, BHK, sharing, boys/girls/co-ed, food plan, furnishing, preferred tenants and amenities like Wi-Fi, AC, parking and power backup.
How do I contact the owner?
Open a listing and tap "Call owner" or "WhatsApp". You will talk to the owner directly.
How do I save a listing?
Tap the heart icon on any listing. Your saved rentals appear under Saved in the menu. You'll need to log in with Google first.
Is my money safe?
Room Dekho does not collect rent or deposits. Always visit the property, verify the owner and sign a rent agreement before paying anything, and never pay a token amount online to someone you haven't met.
For owners
How do I list my property?
Tap "List Property", choose the type (room, PG, flat, house, hostel or co-living), tap to select details, pin the location, set the rent and add photos. It takes about two minutes.
Do I need to write a title or description?
No. We generate an SEO-friendly title like "2 BHK Semi Furnished Flat for Rent in Baner, Pune" and a description from your selections. You can add extra notes if you like.
Is listing free?
Yes. Listing on Room Dekho is free, and we never take a commission from owners.
How many photos can I upload?
Up to 10 photos per listing. They are compressed automatically for fast loading. The first photo is used as the cover.
How do I edit or delete my listing?
Go to Account, then My listings, and tap Edit or the delete icon. Please delete the listing once the property is rented.
Account & privacy
How do I sign up?
Tap Login and continue with your Google account. No password is needed.
Is my phone number shown publicly?
Only the contact number you add to your own listing is shown on that listing, so tenants can reach you. It is not shown anywhere else.
How do I report a fake or suspicious listing?
Email support@roomdekho.com with the listing link. We review every report and remove listings that break our terms.
How do I delete my account?
Email us from your registered address and we will delete your account and listings within 7 working days.
